    Hello Reader's if you want to make nice view to show the messages and alert count then you can use the Badge of bootstap

    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html lang="en">
    <head>
      <title>Bootstrap Example</title>
      <meta charset="utf-8">
      <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
      <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/css/bootstrap.min.css">
      <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.3/jquery.min.js"></script>
      <script src="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.5/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
    </head>
    <body>

    <div class="container">
      <h2>Badges</h2>
      <a href="#">News <span class="badge">45</span></a><br>
      <a href="#">Comments <span class="badge">17</span></a><br>
      <a href="#">Updates <span class="badge">9</span></a>
    </div>

    </body>
    </html>

    Here I have written three example for showing the 45, 17 and 9 read messages, On loading the page they will be shown up in the Desing.
