Chibi is a simple, cute form of Manga/Anime. Super Deformed or SD is another name for chibis.Super deformed or SD is a specific style of Japanese caricature where characters are drawn in an exaggerated way, typically small and chubby, with stubby limbs and oversized heads. This style forms an integral part of what Japanese and American anime fans refer to as chibi.

Chibi Style is seen everywhere from advertising and subway signs to anime and manga; it has existed at least since SD Gundam in the 1980s.It is often also used on anime and manga in brief interjections to show an extreme or exaggerated emotion, such as anger or surprise, that would be difficult to portray or would seem out of character if expressed on a more realistic face. They are meant to be cute and are often used in humorous diversions from the storyline.

Here, I am sharing the method to Draw A Chibi Character in a very simple way Step by Step. I use only Brush Tool in this tutorial.

**1.Draw the head**. First draw a big circle and an angle for the jaw line. Indicate the centre of the face by drawing two intersecting curved lines.Chibi Characters have very large forehead & small jaw.

2.Draw the body. In drawing chibi characters, we make the body smaller in proportion compared to the head.

3.Draw the face details. Chibi Characters have very large eyes while drawing the nose and the mouth, you can use a short stroke and a curved line.

4.Draw the hairs. Make it simple, dont add thin strands of hair. You can add other details like hairpins, bows or ribbons to make it more stylish.

5.Follow the outline and draw the jawline and the neck.

6.Draw the dress. Make the dress simple and dont add a lot of crease lines.

7.Draw the hands and the legs. You can draw the fingers by adding simple curved angles and lines.

8.Erase unnecessary lines & Fill the Color desired.
