A new era of business has begun. Businesses in United States and Canada are now allowed to post job openings on the social networking sites as well as a new jobs bookmark. Business will be able to communicate and track application directly with applicants within Facebook and Facebook Messenger.
After a lot of speculation Facebook has created a tool that is predicted to take over many online job boards and harness huge audience from them. This attribute is aimed at small and midsized businesses that usually struggle to find the right people to hire. Also, this feature carries a success report from few small businesses which have already tested and tried it.
There are many competitor platforms which provide the same facility but facebook is at an advantage due to the ease it provides both in marketing a job posting and connecting with potential applicants. A recent study by ADP found that 14.4 million people have when looking job. An astonishing 73% of employers have hired people using social media at some point during the process and almost half of employers, 42%, said that they thought the quality of candidates improved.
The jobs will be displayed in some potential applicant’s updated feeds allowing employer and other consultants to reach people that might be unaware of the company available position. Job seekers can apply for open positions by clicking the “Apply Now” Button; a form will appear with some of their information pre populated. The user can choose which information to be shared and which must be restrained. It takes only 3 minutes to fill in the form and put it to the site. As soon as your post gets viewed the concerned person will talk to you and if everything goes on well your purpose is duly served. Facebook is also adding a new “Job” tab for job seekers.
Businesses can pay for ads that will help their job listing to hike up. The users that have linked their business pages to facebook will show up their job listing in newsfeeds of the candidates.
Facebook has set a new trend for all the job seekers as well as the providers, the current results seem positive and studies have predicted that this idea will surely show a rise in the near future.
