GDSN stands for Global Data Synchronization Network. It helps in building a strong environment for secure and continuous synchronization of Accurate Data between Suppliers/Manufacture and business Partners .

Due to GS1 standards, any Manufactures or suppliers can confirms not only that their data is of high Quality but also GS1 standards. This Accelerator makes products data with high Quality by certifying with data pool. This Implies that any Business Enterprise will be gets confidence that if any supplier had updated the data then that information will automatically gets updated due to which everyone connected with the Business Process will have newly Updated data.

• This Accelerator map different Product Attributes/Item Attributes to GDSN standards.
• It offers a pre built Workflow to plan the sequence to process.
• Automatically exchange of Information from source to recipient.

Working

In General there are two scenario with respect to PIM.

• First, PIM Desktop will provide the master data to GDSN data pool which will confirms GS1 standards to Product Data. After that it will be transferred to business partners.
• Secondly, PIM will initiate a trigger for Publication then after checking from GDSN data pool that will gives its confirmation status.

PIM uses two Import Functions

• lookupItemNumberByGTIN → this function will provide Item Number that is present in PIM System using GTIN number.
• lookupStatusOfItem → This function will provide GTIN number that is present in PIM system using Item number.

History of Data Pool Communication

In order to View the Detailed history of Data Pool communication, you can Click on the Icon Introduced in PIM Desktop. By Clicking on the icon of Box with red Cross, you can get history regarding communication between PIM and the Data Pool.
