Export Post Processing :
Export Post Processing is the supplementary- step after processing with the Export Operation in Product Information Management (PIM). This will be needed, for instance if we want create a BMEcatFile which involves the Media (images) need to be Exported along with that file. So before Transmission, that needs to be checked.
If we talk about Export, that will simply expose the Production data in a File and make an archive file on PIM Server.
Requirement :
The Requirement for This step in Product Information Managements can be elaborate Like Checking the Exported file, Manipulation of Exported file,Making an archive of Image, adding with Some Additional Data will enrich the Product's Information, Transfer of Exported file to Some other System and Many More. All this will enhance the Product Information and thereby helps the PIM to achieve targets in an Optimized form.

How to Execute the Post Processing Export ?
PIM offers users to add multiple Post Steps in addition with Basic Export Process. All the Multiple Post Step will Execute in an sequence in which they are added. Basic Workflow that PIM follows is Illustrated in Figure.
Result ;
PostStepContext Object will hold the information regarding Export files, Multimedia archive. Using this Object Post Processing Step will get all the Required Data say, file Encoding.
Example :
PIM supports feature that are illustrated below :
- Validate XML File :This will Perform Validation Against the DTD in the Exported File and provides all the related information like errors in the Export log.
- Copy Files :This enables you to Copy both the Export Archive Multimedia File and Exported File to the Directory Specified.
- Add Files :Any extra file that need to be archived along with the exported file can be perform using this option in Post Processing.
- File Attachment Export :This option will allow you to get Media Information from PIM Media Manager during the Export Process. After getting information will copies the archive file in the Export Directory.
