    I am a non-techie and would like to know what API and SDK mean. Can someone here help me understand these?

  • SDK :
    SDK stands for development kit.SDK is used for developing many kinds of software.SDK is of tools targeting one specific platform.SDK includes proper documentation, demo codes, libraries etc.
    Eg.Java SDK

    APK:
    APK stands for Android package.APK is package file or installer file use to distribution and installation of mobile apps.APK is only used in platform.
    Eg. app installation file.
