    Mobile Testing :

Mobile Devices everywhere in the market .Mobile devices have become the primary medium of interaction for consumers as well as businesses worldwide, and mobile applications are driving these interactions. In traditional market we can test the web apps only, but now days people want to be online every time, so there is lot of demand of mobile platform in real world.

Mobile applications can be tested using simulators or real devices. The developer use simulators for unit testing (Simulator is a tool or software application that mimics the behavior of an actual environment or device). The Build sent to QA for actual testing. The term actual refers to testing on real devices like IPhone,Android,IPad,Windows based phone & many more. Simulators are powerful tools for developing mobile applications but they cannot completely mimic an actual environment or device but in order to completely test in a feature or app , hardware, network or performance related issue, the testing should be performed in a real devices for covering all issues in real environment or device.

    Mobile Application Challenges

Testing on actual devices is expensive. Various types of devices with different screen sizes & operating system are required. The number of devices purchased increase with the number of testers. The mobile device market is rapidly changing and evolving, hundreds of new devices are introduced in
each year.In the PC, we had to support one or two PC operating system versions, one or two browsers, in a relatively stable environment. However,in the mobile market, there are multiple devices & platforms like iPhone, iPad,Tablet, android, window phones & more. Moreover, there are multiple versions of operating systems for each device, so variety of devices, platforms, screen resolutions, memory sizes, and connectivity options pose a great challenge for testers to ensure multi-device, multi-platform compatibility of the app.

    Mobile Testing Approach:

    1.Mobile Functional Testing
    2.Mobile Compatibility Testing
    3.Mobile usability testing
    4.Mobile Performance testing
    5.Mobile Security testing
