    Apple's WWDC 2016 was full of updates to OS's for MAC, iPhone, Watch and TV. It also opens Siri and iMessage SDK to developers. Siri is now available on desktop, and Apple Pay can be used on Safari to make payments. New design for notifications. Apple watch comes with a new command center. There are design changes in Apple News,  Music, Maps and other services.

    MAC OS - A NEW NAME, ADDED CONTINUITY ACROSS DEVICES & SIRI

    OSX is dead now and there is a new name for the operating system. Its macOS Sierra. It will be available for download as beta version in July and full and final version in fall.

    The new OS comes with continuity across multiple devices.A new feature called as Universal Clipboard was demonstrated by Craig Federighi, which can be used to copy and paste content across multiple devices.

    Siri, the virtual assistant is available on mac now right in the dock and in top-right corner near Spotlight. Use voice commands to search files, photos, music on web, etc.

    APPLE WATCH FASTER WITH NEW FEATURES

    watchOS 3 is the updated operating system for Apple Watch. It comes with a number of updates. It opens apps seven times faster than previous OS, now the apps are stored in memory. It comes with a control center where a user can swipe up to switch into Do not disturb or airplane mode same as iPhone.

    Another feature includes a new keyboard "Scribble" which users can use to respond to a message. They don't need to type, a user can draw letters and the letters wille be displayed with an animation.

    Apple Watches will come with a new feature called as SOS, it activates when a user will hold the side button, it calls 911 and will send the location information to the emergency contacts. It works internationally and will call country specific emergency numbers, provided the watch must be tethered to a phone or connected to Wi-Fi.

    Apple focusing on medical fitness introduced a new meditation app called "Breathe" which will help users to exercise regularly. It also have a wheelchair mode to help handicapped persons to exercise.

    IOS 10, HUGE RELEASE WITH LOTS OF NEW FEATURES

    Craig Federeghi introduced iOS 10 the biggest release for users. It includes "Raise and Wake" feature where a user can lift the iPhone making the lock screen wake up and display newly designed notifications that a user can respond using 3D Touch.

    A new "Apple TV remote app" has been added by Apple, which a lot of users were demanding. The app can be used to control your TV from your iPhone by using touch, voice control using Siri, and motion controls for playing games.

    Continuity has been extended to make it easier for users to work across multiple devices. Apple introduced a new feature called as "Universal Clipboard". You can copy text, links from one device to another.

    3D touch has been expanded to the widgets on the home screen. You don't need to launch the app to get the overview of an app update. Highlights will be displayed on the home screen.

    SIRI

    Apple has opened Siri for developers. Now you can integrate your app with Siri. A WeChat message displayed at the conference through Siri was "send a WeChat to Nancy saying I'll be five minutes late." Other supported apps are Skype, WhatsApp, Runtastic etc.

    Apple made Siri more intelligent now. Siri gives suggestions according to your location, Contacts Info., Calendar and more. Siri is growing and becoming an Artificially Intelligent.

    APPLE MAPS

    Apple Maps, a new design with turn-by-turn navigation support in app. It also includes traffic information. Maps will display alternative routes if the route ahead is having a lot of traffic. It is open to developers. Now you can book a ride from Apple Maps as well. Apple Car Play display turn by turn navigation right from your Car dock.

    APPLE HOME

    Apple Home, a new app in iPhone that lets you control your Home-Kit enabled devices. It lets you control your smart light bulbs, opening garage doors. You can directly control your devices through control center without unlocking the iPhone.

    APPLE NEWS

    Apple News have been redesigned. Sections have been improved, and you can subscribe to newspapers & magazines directly from the app.

    APPLE MUSIC

    Apple Music designs have been revamped and you will be stunned to see the new design. Apple is making it simpler to use. After launching, the app takes you directly to the Library section. You will be able to view lyrics while listening to your favorite music. Apple have added new sections to make navigation easier, a section for downloaded music and another one for recently added songs and albums.

    PHONE APP

    The Phone app has been enhanced by Apple. It will have voice mail transcriptions as the new feature by which you don't need to listen to the voice mail anymore.

    MESSAGES

    Messages, the most frequently used app. It enables rich links inline to the message allowing videos to play directly in message threads. Emoji's are three times bigger now, and the best part is auto detection of text so that user can tap on text and it will be converted into Emoji. Cool!. Bubble effects for different kind of messages. Similar to Maps and Siri, Messages is open for developers with iMessage app.

    APPLE PAY

    Apple Pay is available on Safari now. It lets you buy items from your desktop by authenticating the payment from your iPhone Touch ID or from your Watch. You need to be an Apple Gadget geek!

    Other features that Apple introduced in iOS 10 is now you can delete default apps from your iPhone to make more space. Apps like Stocks, Weather, etc. can be deleted from the iPhone. Apple introduced a new Swift Playgrounds, an iPad app to help kids learn how to code.
