    As far as I understand, you are unable to successfully do the Google Webmaster verification after updating your blog's theme.

    The verification of webmaster account can be alternatively done using HTML file upload process as below:

    Step1: Add your site in a Google Webmaster Account using Gmail ID.
    Step2: Click on alternate method and choose HTML file upload radio button.
    Step3: Download the HTML file.
    Step4: Get it uploaded to the domain root directory.
    Step5: Click on confirm using the link available on the alternate method screen.
    Step6: Then finally click on verify it.

    Use these steps and your are done.
