    HTTP Error 404.2 - Not Found, The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the ISAPI and CGI Restriction list settings on the Web server

    Sometimes, we get Error 404.2 which means that there is no mapping handler found for the request, while opening web application on the browser.

     

     

    To resolve this error, you can follow the given below steps:

     

    1. Open the IIS Manager
    2. Click the server name or
      navigate to the server level.
    3. Click the Feature View
    4. Double-click "ISAPI and CGI Restrictions"
    5. Double-click ASP.NET v4.0.30319 and select “allow” or
      Right click ASP.NET v4.0.30319 and select “allow” or
      Select ASP.NET v4.0.30319 and click allow.
