    New Features in this Release:

    1. Work Item  - Configure Work Item types on project and map them to Work items

Project Managers now have the option to define Work item types on the projects. This can be configured from the Work Item Types option of the Project Settings->Project Configuration tab. The default work item types available are

    • Epic
    • User Story
    • Task

These work item types also provide a hierarchy which allows the manager to manage work by creating work items following this hierarchy. The 3-level hierarchy provided is as shown below :

As an example, a work item of type Epic can have multiple user stories as its children and each of these user stories can have multiple tasks as their children. The Epic can be considered as completed when all the tasks under all the child user stories are completed.

The user has the option to rename the Work Item types as per the project development process and terminology and select the 4th level hierarchy (e.g sub-task) and save the configuration. All users on the project will now have the option to select any of these work item types while creating a new work item.

    2. List View for managing Work Items

Project users now have the option to view and manage Work Items in a sprint or the project in a List view. The user can navigate to the List View by clicking the List View icon to the right of the Sprint Title.

The Work Items can be created and managed using this List View or the existing Board View.

    3. Adding Child work items

For an existing work item, a child work item can be  created by clicking on the ‘Add Child’ icon in the List View.

An existing work item can be mapped as a child to this parent work item by using the search icon and selecting the work item from the list matching the search criteria.

Only the work items which have a valid hierarchy level and are not already mapped as a child can be mapped as a child work item.

    4. Findnerd Projects support for Mobile Web browser

Projects Dashboard and Projects user interface now supports  mobile browser resolutions. This will now allow Project users to track and manage Project tasks from their mobile. Some features like session tracker and drag and drop for work items are not supported on Mobile UI.

Below are some screenshots of the mobile view
