  • From my personal experience i would say go with Codeigniter.

    It's easy to install. CI has the system folder, the application folder and the index.php.

    Unlike other frameworks you don't need composer to install it and the structure is really simple.

    It's easy to learn. CI is simple. It has everything you need to write 'good' code like MVC, Query Builder and helpers.

    It has a small footprint. It has everything you need but you don't have to use it. If you like you can just use the MVC and nothing else. It doesn't get in to your way and has no "rules" to follow.
