WhatsApp, a wonderful messaging app. Of course there are presently lot of messaging services around, however Whatsapp had a massive head start on practically every one of them, which means it has huge number of features. If you are planning to develop mobile app like WhatsApp app, various leading mobile app development companies can be your perfect choice.

In recent times, WhatsApp application has introduced few changes with its platform. We are continually watching out for the latest WhatsApp update news and features. If you wish to experiment with new features before they rolled out, you can do as such by enlisting into WhatsApp’s beta program through this link.  When you join, your WhatsApp application will be supplanted by the beta app. With each new update you will have the ability to encounter new features tried on WhatsApp. You can generally quit the beta program and move back to the stable version.

Here are the new features on WhatsApp beta.

    The Fingerprint Authentication

The fingerprint authentication feature will be accessible inside the app under a new section. This feature will help to protect its user’s chats from being seen by others. Once you enable this feature, your WhatsApp will be totally protected from others to be seen. The fingerprint authentication feature is presented under development in Beta for Android 2.19.3 version. This would be available in future for any Android user (and later for iOS users too) having newer operating systems and a fingerprint sensor.

    WhatApp ‘Dark Mode’:

Using WhatsApp during the night will get simpler on the eyes if the messaging platform executes the ‘Dark Mode’. This feature not just enables users to save their eyes from glare when they are chatting on WhatsApp late in night yet will  probably help save them battery on their mobiles. Dark Mode feature is under-development and can come soon to all WhatsApp users.

    Playing consecutive voice messages:

This new feature will make it easier to use multiple voice messages on the WhatsApp. After the finish of the first voice message, app will notify the user with a sound. Following the sound it will play the next voice message. If there is no other voice messages to play WhatsApp will also play a short sound towards the finish of the voice message. The consecutive WhatsApp voice message feature has been spotted in the iOS v2.18.100 build, reports Wabetainfo.

    Group Call:

WhatsApp is including a new ‘Group Call’ button inside the group chats. Previously, users would need to first start a normal call with one of the contacts and only after the response of the recipient you could add other people to the call. Now, this new feature will enable you to promptly begin talking with up to three members of the group, either video or voice. The design has been updated so that you can start group call with only few taps.

Voice notification in the preview bar:

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that will enable you to see videos directly in the push notification. This feature has been spotted in the WhatsApp beta version 2.18.102.5 for iOS users. Soon it will be available for App Store users. Currently users are able to view photos and text messages via the notification bar, however, with this new feature, WhatsApp might be expecting that users will have the capable to devour their chats in a better way.

If you are looking to build a chat app, then you can hire a mobile application development company who have the relevant experience and the ability to build best chatting application for any platforms.

  • WhatsApp recently introduced a new Chat Lock feature, allowing users to protect individual conversations with a password, fingerprint, or Face ID. When you lock a chat, it moves to a separate folder, and notifications from locked chats won't display message previews. This adds an extra layer of privacy, ensuring that only authorized users can access sensitive chats. To use it, open a chat, tap on the contact or group name, select "Chat Lock," and set the desired authentication method.
