  • How to change the Favicon?

    Joomla contains Favicon inside templates/your_templatename/ directory. To change this icon you need to replace that file with the one you want instead of it. Process of changing favicon is described below:

    1. First, you need to create a 16x16 pixel image by using graphics software(photoshop, Gimp etc.).
    2. Now in second step you need to convert that image to ico format. You can change it manually or use online sites to generate ico format of image.
    3. Copy the file inside /templates/your_templatename/ and name it favicon.ico.
    4. Now go to your browser and in the URL address type your site domain name. You will able to see the new favicon.
