  • How to change default template in Joomla?

    Changing default template for front-end:

    1. Login to the back-end of Joomla site.
    2. Click Extensions -> Template Manager.
    3. Default template for site is marked with a star(yellow in color) which is protostar.
    4. Select the template you want to set default for front-end. Now click "Make Default" button on the top left corner in the page.
    5. Now the default template has been changes. You can check the front-end of the Joomla site the layout has been changed.


    Changing default template for back-end:

    1. Login to the back-end of Joomla site.
    2. Click Extensions -> Template Manager.
    3. Default template for Administrator is marked with a star(yellow in color) which is isis.
    4. Select the template you want to set default for back-end. Now click "Make Default" button on the top left corner in the page.
    5. Now the default template has been changes. You can check it by the refreshing the page and see the new layout of the Joomla back-end.
