Featured Articles are those articles which are displayed on the front-page in Joomla. Whenever you create an article as featured they are by default displayed on the front-page. To create an article as featured follow the steps given below:

1. Login to back-end of Joomla site.
2. Go to Content -> Article Manager -> Add new article.

3. A form to add an article will appear. Fill the some necessary details given below:

   Tiltle: Enter the name of the article

   Category: Select category of the article.

   Status : Select published.

   Featured: Select Yes if you want to create featured article.

   Enter the content of the article in the Editor. You can also add images and links to that article.

4. Press save and close button.

If you want to make the articles that are already created as featured then follow the following steps:

1. Login to back-end of Joomla site.
2. Click Content -> Article Manager.
3. You will see the list of articles. Select the articles that you want to make featured(by selecting the checkbox).
4. Press the Featured button given at the top of the page. Now the articles you have selected are featured articles.

Now navigate to the front-end of your Joomla site and you will see the article that you have created as featured is displayed in the front-page.
