    What is adware

This post will teach you how to remove an adware from your PC - a program that penetrates the user's browser and displays pop-up ads when you browse the Internet. Despite the fact that this type of malware actually does not harm your PC or the information on it, it becomes extremely inconvenient to work with the browser infected by adware. Multiple advertising messages, pop-up banners, as well as Internet pages that you did not intend to open, constantly appear on the screen, they overlay the information of legitimate websites, inhibit the work of browsers.

In addition, adware is able to substitute your search queries with its own, which complicates quick access to the necessary information.

    How to remove adware

To do this, you need to take a few simple steps to get rid of annoying malware.

    Step 1

Go to the Control Panel / Add / Remove Programs and check all programs installed on the date when you started having problems with pop-ups or other ads. Often, such malware does not have a publisher name, an original icon, a version number. If malware is found, delete it.

    Step 2

Check auto-load. Go to the Task Manager by right-clicking on the Task Bar. Select the Start-up tab and look for programs that are not run from the Program Files folder. Dot it by right clicking on each program and selecting Open file location. Also, even if any specific software is located in Program Files but you rarely use it or do not want to appear on Startup – go and turn off it in this list.

    Step 3

heck all browser extensions and plug-ins. In the browser Settings menu, find Extensions. Look at the list of working applications and if malware is suspected, delete it. If additional steps are required, follow this guide.  In rare cases when all the above steps do not work, it is recommended that you reinstall your browser.

After that use reputable antimalware software and scan your PC. Most security software vendors offer free versions that detect and remove adware pretty well.
