Hi, I'm new to Android world and I got a problem when I try to upload my first game which is 350 MB to Google Play Console. I have searched for many days but I still have no idea what is the right way to handle it. It seems like Dynamic Delivery is the best solution so I follow the official documentations and split my game resources into three install-time dynamic delivery modules to keep each one of them bellow 150 MB. Before uploading aab file, I use command "bundletool build-apks --bundle xxx.aab --output=xxx.apks" to double-check all the output apk files not exceeding 150 MB. However, I still got error message telling me there could be one or more auto-generated multi-APKs exceeds the maximum allowed size of 150 MB. The full error message is like below.
One or more of the auto-generated multi-APKs exceeds the maximum allowed size of 150 MB.
Your App Bundle contains the following configurations where the initial install would exceed the maximum size of 150 MBARM64_V8A + HDPI, ARM64_V8A + XHDPI, ARM64_V8A + TVDPI, ARM64_V8A + XXHDPI, ARM64_V8A + LDPI, ARMEABI_V7A + XXXHDPI, ARM64_V8A + MDPI, X86 + XXXHDPI, X86 + HDPI, X86 + XXHDPI
There are many apps' size over the the maximum allowed size on the Play Store such as PUBG and I just wonder why I can't upload my game like them. What is the proper way to handle and upload an app exceeding the maximum allowed size?
The link below is a screen shot that I see on my test device running on Android 6. When I download the app from the Play Store it does download approximately 1.7 GB without additional download after launch right? How can I upload my game like this way? Thanks!
