  • How to Change Case in Word (Upper, Lower, Title or Sentence Case)

    When you write on the computer screen, most of the time you are writing in the lower case because you are writing as fast as possible. Most people use Microsoft Word while writing a document because it is the best platform for the writing process.     Then, hit the dialog box launcher on the bottom right of the Font group. You can even press Ctrl + D as an alternative. The Font dialog box appears 

     

    Step #4:

     

    Finally, select the All Caps or Small Caps and click OK.

    Change case using the Change Case command in the Ribbon:

     

    In case the text is formatted with hard capitals where the user has pressed the Caps Lock key when typing text, then you can even remove or change the capitalization with the help of the Change Case command. Well, you can change case by follow the given steps using the Change Case command in the Ribbon:

    First, choose the text from the document

    Then, click Change Case in the Font group (Aa). A drop-down menu appears.

    Finally, select the desired case.

    The following options appear in the Change Case drop-down menu:

     

    • Sentence case contains capitalise the first letter of a sentence. If there are multiple sentences, then Word will capitalise the next word after a period of time.
    • Lowercase removes all capitalization.
    • UPPERCASE allows capitalising all letters in the selection.
    • Capitalise Each Word contains capitalise each word in the selection 
    • tOGGLE cASE allows shifts between two cases. For example, if the first letter of each word in the selection was capitalised, this command would switch to the opposite formatting with the first letter of each word as lower case and the other letters in upper case.
