The meaning of ‘Audit’ is a separate analysis or inspection of the new creating software or product. The main intention of the audit, is to verify that the product or software which is newly build up fulfill all the requirements and specifications, all the principles or standards, all the written agreement and all the guidelines which were decided in time of requirement gathering.
In the software industry, there are many reasons to perform the audit activity few of them is mentioned below :-
We perform the audit to verify the software licence obedience. This is also called as the ‘software licensing audit’.
We perform the audit to verify the software quality, verified that what is the quality of new product or software. This is also called as the ‘software quality assurance’.
Different Roles And Liabilities Of A Formal or Official Audit:-
There are few peoples, who are responsible to conduct any type of formal audit. These peoples are as- Manager, Arbitrator or Moderator, Author or Writer, Recorder.
Manager:- The manager is the person who determines what requirements to be checked and make sure that there is enough time assigned in the project estimation or project plan for all the necessary review or analysis concerns. Actually managers do not attend the real review procedure till the audit is conducted with the business analyst.
Arbitrator or Moderator:- The main task of any arbitrator or moderator is to verify the group of records or documents. It depends only on the arbitrator or moderator that, he/she will deliver or not to the renovated documents or records.
Author or Writer:- The main role of any author or writer is to create or makes the documents or records to be checked.
Recorder:- The analyst joined the review meetings and logs all the points (issues, problems, defects, etc..) and also exposed all the noted points which were determined throughout the conference or meetings.
