    What is Content Curation?

Content Curation is essentially the skill of unearthing relevant information and using it as a resource pool for developing useful content for articles which help in advertising and marketing. It is the rapid solution when your work group is finding it difficult to generate content. This can be for a major sales presentation, articles for social media page and even articles for blogging.

One has to keep an eye for the segment of the market while you create content, articles or presentations. Hence, finding relevant topics and content as per the targeted segment is of paramount importance In case of generating articles for blogging it is to be noted that the curated content should only serve as an inspiration and not be a part of the content itself. i.e. Curation can be the bridge that helps you create.

Content curation helps you skim through the infinite information available online and choose the most relevant for your target market. The relevant knowledge pool you create can be used for marketing, sales, or promotions. It doesn't involve collecting baseless links or information, but arranging and presenting the most useful information in publishable format for the Internet.

Let's say your media company wants to review a recent movie for their eMagazine. You search for all documents, paper reviews, images, ratings and statistics about the movie and create a common pool or specific resource folder. Now you and your colleagues have relevant content to share and take inspiration from in order to create organic content.

    Channels for the curation process

It is to be noted that the following channels can be used for legitimate curation:
    1. Forums- These provide great ideas as they involve real people discussing their problems about specific issues.
    2. Articles- Platforms like ezinearticles.com, reddit.com, GoArticles.com are good sources of invaluable content. These provide articles on a variety of topics. Although these cant be copied directly but hey can serve as sources of invaluable information.
    3. Public Domains- These resources provide information which can be freely copied and hence used as a part of your content curation strategy without any legal implications.

A good content curator can create interactive content, advertising, and sales presentations for companies using the above mentioned resources. A comprehensive curation program enables you to pull up documents without hours of endless searching. It also helps in document collaborations among team members to minimize time wastage. .
