Following the IPhone 7 launch trail, Google has also to launch its two exclusive smartphones, namely Pixel and Pixel XL. The phones will be available in India for pre-order from October 13. Globally, the Pixel phone price is $649 and the Pixel XL is priced at $749. In India, you can expect the Google Pixel to be priced at Rs 57000 and the XL variant of Pixel series to be prized at Rs 65,000.

Unlike the delayed launch of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus here, Google has considered India among the first six countries where Pixel is being launched. Pixel phones will be available in three prime colours -- black, blue and silver. However, the blue colour is not yet arriving in India but will be available in other markets. Initially, both the Google phones will be offered exclusively at Flipkart.com.

Both the phones from Pixel series are considered as ‘Google’s first phones’. Until now, Google always sold the phones including the very popular Nexus series, in collaboration with other companies like HTC and Samsung. By having complete control over the hardware this time, Pixel series hardware would be in complete synchronization with its software. This will further assist in making the device more  slick and completely stutter-free, just like the arch rival Apple iPhone.

Let’s have a look at the Technical specifications of the Pixel Phone Series:

However, there are some new capabilities, as well as specific and unique tailored features baked-into the Pixel phones.

    What’s New??

    Google Assistant Enabled

In my Google Allo review, I had anticipated that “Google Assistant might be integrated with Google home in near future”. So the news is true ;) Assistant will power Google’s Home hub device and will be found in both the Pixel phones.

    Google Day Dream

    www.technewstoday.com

It will be first device in the history to support, Google’s VR platform, Daydream. Google has also announced Daydream View VR headset that is designed to be the most comfortable headset in it’s class.

    The Verdict

Google spent a handsome amount at its Pixel smartphone event on Tuesday. VP Brian Rakowski going calling it "the best smartphone camera anyone has ever made," with a DxOMark score of 89. The camera lead Isaac Reynolds posted a number of photos taken with the Pixel or Pixel XL. Yet, it was observed that half of them did receive some type of post-processing with either VSCO or Snapseed editing apps. Still, it had offered an impressive selection of photography to showcase Pixel’s adaptability in a number of different lighting and color situations. Those who plan to purchase the iPhone 7 or other smart phones ranging from the price band of 50 - 80 K, you have yet another strong contender to look up to.
