    Change the background in Ubuntu : Ubuntu is an open source operating system used widely in the market. Ubuntu is powerful and almost very user friendly. It has the GUI features so that user can do his most of the tasks using GUI interface. Here we are going to tell you about how we can change the background color and image in Ubuntu operating system.


    Change the background image in Ubuntu : Following are the steps to change the background image in Ubuntu :

    Step 1 : Right click on desktop and select 'change desktop background' or you can also go using left side menu 'System Settings -> Appearance'

    Step 2 : In front of you under the 'Look' tab you will see the option 'Background' and under it desktop icon on the left side and right side you can see the dropdown. Now select the 'Wallpapers' from that dropdown and choose the images for your background. You can add your own picture by adding the picture using '+' button.


    Change the background color in Ubuntu : If you don't want the image in your background and want to color it then in the same screen you need to select dropdown 'Colors & Gradients'. Now select any color which you want in background. If you want combination of two colors then select second image and it will show you two color boxes below, choose any two colors and make your background beautiful.
